Fly fishing accessories

Because fly fishing is so complex, there are a myriad of fly fishing accessories to help the angler. In fact, since most anglers are middle-aged men, fly fishing accessories have been deemed "toys for boys." However, if you want to successfully catch fish, you have to buy the right gear.

Fly fishing accessories assist anglers who depend on having the right fly under any condition. This means the angler must have fly boxes to hold his flies and a vest to hold the fly boxes. Anglers also need tools to help them tie on the fly under poor conditions: this includes polarized glasses, specialized bifocals, and a headlamp to provide hands-free light at dusk.

Fly fishing accessories seem to be limitless. You can buy equipment for tying flies, waits for sinking flies, sprays to keep your fly afloat, and a myriad of leaders and tools. Check out your local fly fishing shop or one of the large catalog stores that have now gone online for consumer convenience.
